What should I wear?
Generally, it's a good idea to wear a suit for a job interview. Go with something simple, in a neutral tone. The more conservative your field is, the more conservative your suit should be. For example, if you're applying for a job in an investment firm, go with a navy blue or dark gray suit.

Black suit: A black suit is essential winter wear, which everyman should have in his wardrobe. It should be a two-button, with flat-front pants. Good quality wool and super 120 fabric will give you years or comfort and durabilty.

Particularly tall guys should say away from vertical stripes including pinstripes since they tend to accentuate height. Horizontal stripes and windowpane plaids are more flattering patterns. If you are thin to boot, wearing fabrics that cling is a bad idea, but wearing baggy clothes also brings attention to your svelt physique. Wearing shirts that are slightly fitted with spread collars and trousers that are straight in the leg, not tapered in any way, work best. Also, sweaters with a closer fit to the body, but not fitted are more flattering. And since suits with three buttons tend to lengthen the body, stick with one and two buttons.

Are you vertically challenged?

Short guys should avoid cuffed trousers, long suit jackets, and loud patterns. You don’t want to bring attention to your smaller stature. Pinstripes and other stripes (but not too bold) and dark solid colors are your best bet since they visually lengthen the body. Also, two and three buttoned suits with long lapels will give you a flattering, longer silhouette. And remember, when buttoning your suit leave the top button on two and three button suits undone since this will give the illusion of being taller. When it comes to ties, avoid Windsor and double Windsor knots – in other words stick with small knots. This will help you avoid looking like a kid.

Pleats vs. Flat-Front. Why so many men have avoided flat-front trousers has always been a mystery. Flat-front trousers look better than pleated pants most of the time. Pleats make you look less slim. Often  guys wear pleats because it’s more comfortable or because flat-fronts are more for athletic bodies. Truth is most men can wear a flat-front trouser. If you want more room then buy them a little big and have them brought in at the waist. This can be done at the store where you buy your clothes or by an independent tailor. And lastly, flat-font trousers are much more fashionable.

Super 100, 120, 180 has nothing to do with thread count. It refers to how many meters of thread can be made from a kilo of wool. The higher the number, the finer the thread. The fabric tends to have a lighter hand and a natural resistance to wrinkling. Hence, Super 100 and 120s clothing travel well.

Functioning buttons or "Surgeon's cuffs" are a subtle touch to signal to others in the know that you paid a lot for your suit.

Striped Shirts
Every designer and manufacturer has come out with some sort striped shirt or another. Just get one. It can be worn independently with jeans, with a suit or under a sweater. Remember, fall is about layering and from bold and thick stripes to thin ones; it's a good look that you will find easy to incorporate into many ensembles.
